Pride Festivals Across the Southern United States

I have always heard that "Pride" isn't just in June. That we should feel proud of who we are all year long. I believe we do but it's also fun to go to a festival where you know you will be accepted. Pride Festivals in the south remind me of a family reunion. I hope I will see my "adopted drag mother", or one of my "soul sisters" or my "best gay boyfriend". Who knows who will be at a pride festival?
Here is a list of the Pride Festivals that I'm aware of...
TENNESSEE
YOUTH PRIDE FEST May 7, 2022 First Presbyterian Church Oak Ridge TN Our mission is to have a place where LGBT youth can celebrate themselves in a safe and welcoming environment. We fully embrace pride, self-expression, and especially self-love.
MEMPHIS PRIDE FEST June 2 to 5, 2022 Memphis, Tennessee. Powered by Mid-South Pride. Memphis Pride the largest gathering for the LGBT+ community in the Mid-South
FRANKLIN PRIDE June 4, 2022 The Park at Harlinsdale Farm, Franklin TN PFLAG Franklin and TEP partner to stage a community event that seeks to Celebrate, Support, Engage and Unite the community on behalf of our LGBTQ family and neighbors and their allies.
SOKNO PRIDE Formerly South Side Pride June 11, 2022 8 a.m.to Midnight Sevier Ave. Knoxville TN SoKno Pride is the non-profit organization that produces the LGBTQIA+ event in South Knoxville’s Sevier Ave. community. Proceeds from this year's festival will benefit: Appalachian OUTreach whose purpose is to reduce the impact that isolation, discrimination, and oppression has on the East Tennessee LGBTQ+ community. Bryant’s Bridge who provides transitional housing and resources for LGBTQ+ youth who have experienced homelessness or are about to experience homelessness. The Bottom Knox who builds community, celebrates culture & engages the creativity of Black people!

UPPER CUMBERLAND PRIDE June 11, 2022 Dogwood Park in Cookeville, TN Upper Cumberland Pride is Tennessee's first and only pride focused on the LGBT community in a rural area.
RAINBOW FESTIVAL June 25, 2022, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pavilion at Founders Park Johnson City, TN. Pride TriCities The Pride Community & Education Center will be hosting a Rainbow Festival this year to celebrate pride month in Johnson City, TN.
TRI PRIDE August 27, 2022 Tri Pride organizes a FREE annual event in the Tri-Cities, TN: the Tri Pride Parade & Festival. We are a registered non-profit, founded in October 2017.
NASHVILLE PRIDE June 25 and 26, 2022 Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park 600 James Robertson Parkway Nashville TN. Strengthening and celebrating the LGBTQIA community in Nashville since 1988.
BLOUNT PRIDE FESTIVAL July 30, 2022, Jack Green Park and the Maryville Ampitheater Maryville TN. The purpose of Blount Pride is to uplift and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community of Blount County. We will do this through public events that make our lives and our stories visible and through building connections across the diversity of our experiences.
BORO PRIDE September 17, 2022, Murfreesboro TN, Boro Pride is bringing a festival of equality and acceptance to Murfreesboro. The event features performers, activities, and information booths for the whole family.
CHATTANOOGA PRIDE FESTIVAL September 26 to October 2, 2022 is the LGBTQ+ Pride Festival for the greater Chattanooga area. Managed by Tennessee Valley Pride. Our volunteer board works year-round to bring the LGBTQ+ community and our allies together for events, various causes, and to build networks of support which benefit all of us.
KNOX PRIDE FESTIVAL September 30 to October 2, 2022, World's Fair Park Knoxville TN. Knox Pride Festival is an open (and free) celebration of music, celebration and speakers focused on promoting Equality and Inclusion of ALL people.
GEORGIA
ATLANTA PRIDE October 7th to October 9, 2022! Piedmont Park Atlanta GA. The Atlanta Pride Committee is Georgia's oldest non-profit agency serving the LGBTQ community and serves as an advocate of and resource to gender and sexually diverse communities in Atlanta and the Southeastern United States.
NORTH CAROLINA
