These are organizations I feel support the lgbtq community or who have contributed to its continued growth. SoKno Pride South Knoxville Pride Festival "SoKno Pride began in 2021 on Sevier Ave as a simple drag show brunch. From there it quickly expanded into our South Knoxville neighborhood coming together to support our LGBTQIA+ community. Union Grove UMC Friendsville TN From the Pastor "Union Grove UMC located between Maryville and Friendsville, TN Union Grove is a Reconciling Ministries Church and has also designated itself as a "Safe Place" sanctuary for the LGBTQIA+ community. This tiny rural church is building an emergency short-term transitional housing project for homeless people in Blount County, TN. Together Estranged When someone becomes estranged from a family member, it can be very isolating because it's as if a door that was previously open or cracked has started to become closed and a new chapter or phase in life is taking place. Together Estranged supports and empowers those estranged (or becoming estranged) from family members, while enhancing social understanding for the de-stigmatization of estrangement.
