Knoxville Pride Festival aka Knox Pride Fest and parade have been canceled. The parade was scheduled for Oct 3, 2025 and the Festival at World's Fair Park Knoxville TN on Oct 4, 2025.
Knox Pride CEO John Camp went to the non-profit's social media with a somber video on Oct 1st stating that the organization "could not obtain liability insurance for the festival and parade." he further stated that "safety is a huge concern for our community in the country right now." Mr. Camp apologizes for disappointing festival goers in the 2 minute video. As a longtime community activist and community member I can guess this was not an easy decision to make.
